W2GLD. I ran the SDS100 alongside the IC R30 for three hours yesterday in my office. The IC-R30 far outperformed the SDS100 and rarely stopped, opened squelch without good clear voice traffic. On noisy or poor voice traffic some were unintelligible on the SDS100, the IC-R30 still had impressive clear audio.

I bought my SDS100 new from zipscanner.com on April 9th, 2020 (Less than two months ago). Arrived on time, in new condition, all was well. Functionality of this scanner is fantastic. Programming is a breeze. Handles simulcast better than any other scanner out there. Speaker could be improved but its performance is acceptable.

Walking down the street, sitting inside or even both hooked up to similar outdoor antennas, and before anyone asks yes ive tried swapping the antennas (outdoor) on the SDS and HT. Ive got the remtronix and still sucks.The SDS100 is silent. When I stop the SDS100 on the exact same frequency that the TRX-1 is decoding, programmed as a DMR freq., it doesn't even make a hit on the signal bar.
