Posted November 1, 2010. This is a good generic replacement for the seat strut (gas spring). I found it at Advance, StongArm F4673 (center one in the picture below). It was $11.99, but if you buy two with the current sale flyer, they reduce them $2.50 each, so the final cost before tax was $9.49.
May 31, 2012 · I have searched the data bank and owners manual and cant find a belt length for the 42" rd deck on my 310-8. would anyone happen to know? it is a 1/2" v belt, with one side of the mule drive pulley flat, and the other side is a v pulley. Before you take the wheel off, check for end play (with that side of the front end jacked up) by pulling and pushing the wheel along the axle. There are shims available if there's too much play.

It is nothing more than an adjustable "L" shaped rod that works in conjunction with the slot in the bottom of the lift lever. It has absolutely nothing to do with raising implements or how high they can be raised.

Posted November 23, 2023 (edited) Hmmmm a free 310-8..... sounds familiar. Good luck with it. Mine was free as well. I replaced the fuel lines, fuel pump, carburetor, and head gasket. Gave it a little paint and new decals. It now runs and drive like a new machine. Jul 12, 2011 · Bypass the PTO switch. If that doesn't fix it, bypass the clutch switch. Once you have determined which switch is the culprit, hook the other switch back up and make sure it still works. Then get some new switches and correct the problem properly. I am an advocate of proper use of safety switches. These sites have differe...There is a drain plug in the bottom of the transmission just to the left of the hitch. It should use a 1/4" Allen wrench to remove.
